Law 77/2006. The Requirements and the Procedure of Implementation. Informative Workshop.

In February 2017 the UNESCO Office of the Municipality of Florence has participated in an informative workshop about the “Requirements and the Procedure of Implementation” of the Law 77/2006, organized by the General Secretariat, the Department of Coordination and the International Relations – the Office of UNESCO in Rome, which took place in the Head Office of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, in Via del Collegio Romano 2.

The goal of the meeting was to explain the procedures connected with the implementation of the Law 77/2006 and in particular the requirements for reporting on the funded projects. The participants were also informed about the upcoming deadlines and events as well as the ongoing projects.

In 2006 Italy has issued the Law 77 to offer legal support for the implementation of the recommendations of UNESCO that concern conservation, promotion and sustainable management of the Sites included in the World Heritage List.

So far 291 projects have been financed under the Law, granting funding of 23.191.244,24 eur.
